Artifacts from Ages Past

More Lore from the Cui-Cui, the land of the small and the silly.

From the Acme Dungeon Adventurers Handbook page 87……
The Ring of Kuhl-Ad

The ring of Kuhl-Ad is magic ring forged in the Legendary era of the “Keeblah Elves”. It has many superflous and annoying powers but is still considered a powerful artifact my many.

Once a day if you speak the command words, “Hey Kuhl-Ad” a giant form of a glass pitcher, 6 feet wide and 5 feet high will burst thru the nearest wall. The form will be carrying a tray of 1d6+2 healing potions (cure moderate at cast at CL 7)

Once a week you can speak the command words “Oh *(&%^&^$ He Died Again” and the pitcher form will again break through the nearest wall this time with no refreshing drinks but you can then lift your dead party member and unceremoniously dump him into the bright red never found in nature liquid that fills the pitcher form. Within 10 minutes said adventurer will come sputtering back to life with all his hit points returned. There is a 25% chance that the resurrected party members skin color will now match the color of the liquid in the pitcher.

More Rules? More Rules Rules!!!!

Well the awesome folks at Masterwork Games, AKA, the Fitzgerald Bros, have taken a few Magic cards off my hands and with their generous credit for said cards I have purchased more Pathfinder books.  This means starting this weekend you can use character classes and spells from Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Comba and the Advanced Players guide books if you so desire.  With some caveats…..

Any class that has greater than current PC technology would not be allowed.  (Gunslinger as an example).

Any race that is not native to Kith would not be allowed or would have to be handled “special” so check with me first.  (You could come thru the Tower for example)

Certain classes would be restricted to certain races, so if it is NOT in the core Rulebook it would should be run by me to see if it is available to a starting character.

One more note… the changing face of Religion.  I have temples in the campaign that are DnD3.5 and home brew specific.  In the beginning I limited the pantheon to one god per alignment out of simplicities sake.  I will allow PF CRB deities but if they have corresponding home brew or 3.5 counterparts I will likely merge them and “Romanize” the names.  (Greek and Roman gods had different names for basically the same Deity)

See you on Sunday

All About the History – Origin of Dunwyn

Dunwyn came into being when “Duncan” the Centaur Paladin got high enough level to create his own stronghold.  Duncan was played by Tim Lightfoot, a colleague of mine at an Accounting and Tax software company in Dexter, MI.

At the time is was an early 3.5 campaign and we had a lot of fun playing.

Below is Duncan’s journal, check it out.  There maybe some clues there you can use today.

Welcome to Kith

We had a great start to the campaign.  Eric, Tony, Malcolm, Amy and Clint ventured fourth into Kith and had an auspicious start.  (None of them died.)  Spells were cast, battle ensued, NPCs somehow misplaced and found although somewhat worse for wear.

I appreciate the groups letting me stumble with the mechanics a bit to learn GMing with Pathfinder.  Everyone was friendly and helpful and I really like the dynamic of the group so far.
